Paper Bear Productions

May 2007 - present

Paper Bear Productions is my experimental games and web production company, which focuses on the creation of games that combine fun, innovation, a strong point of view, wit, artistry, and push the boundaries of the avant garde and playability. In addition to developing games with my collaborative team, we also design and develop unconventional websites with wit and flair.

This was a semester-long research project completed for HA191: Water and Architecture, a project seminar in Brown's History of Art and Architecture department. I designed and built a complete website using information from my research paper on pirate junks during the Chinese Ming and Qing dynasties. This project was highlighted in a Brown University showcase: Multimedia Across Campus in Fall 2004 and is referenced by Wikipedia. The project was completed in Fall 2004 and the website was updated with a new technical backend in Spring 2006.

This was a semester-long group software project developed for CS092: Educational Software, a project course in Brown's Computer Science department. The project was developed using Macromedia Director and has an accompanying website. I designed the website with an aesthetic that complements the software program. The project was designed as an interactive, educational experience for fourth graders to learn about local architecture.
